As the ReportCaster Administrator, you can access the ReportCaster Console using any of the following methods.
Type the URL of the ReportCaster Console logon page in a Web browser:
http://hostname[:port]/rc_context_root/console/RCHConsoleLogon.jsp
where:
Is the host name and optional port number (specified only if you are not using the default port number) of the Application Server where the ReportCaster Web application is deployed.
Is the site-customized context root for the ReportCaster Web application deployed on your Application Server. rcaster is the default value.
The ReportCaster Console logon page opens. Type a valid ReportCaster Administrator user ID and password and click Logon. The ReportCaster Console opens.
Note: Alternatively, you can access the ReportCaster Console logon page by accessing the WebFOCUS Welcome page located at the following URL
http://hostname[:port]/wf_context_root/welcome.jsp
where:
Is the host name and optional port number (specified only if you are not using the default port number) where the WebFOCUS Web application is deployed.
Is the site-customized context root for the WebFOCUS Web application deployed on your Application Server. ibi_apps is the default value.
From the WebFOCUS Welcome page, click the ReportCaster Console option. The ReportCaster Console logon page opens. Type a valid ReportCaster Administrator user ID and password and click Logon. The ReportCaster Console opens.
Type the URL of the ReportCaster Development and Administration logon page:
http://hostname[:port]/rc_context_root/main/reportcaster.jsp
where:
Is the host name and optional port number (specified only if you are not using the default port number) of the Application Server where the ReportCaster Web application is deployed.
Is the site-customized context root for the ReportCaster Web application deployed on your Application Server. rcaster is the default value.
The ReportCaster logon page opens. Type a valid ReportCaster Administrator user ID and password and then click Logon. When the interface opens, click the Console link. The ReportCaster Console opens.
If you are a Managed Reporting Administrator with ReportCaster Administrator capabilities, you can also access the ReportCaster Console from Managed Reporting.
Type the URL of the Managed Reporting logon page in a Web browser:
http://hostname[:port]/ibi_html/workbnch/mrlogon.htm
where:
Is the host name and optional port number (specified only if you are not using the default port number) where the WebFOCUS Web application is deployed.
Is the site-customized Web server alias pointing to the WebFOCUS76/ibi_html directory. ibi_html is the default value.
The
Managed Reporting Logon screen opens. Type a valid Managed Reporting
user ID and password and click Logon. From
Managed Reporting, you can access the ReportCaster Console by clicking
the ReportCaster Console icon
on the toolbar. The ReportCaster Logon screen is bypassed (since
your user credentials have already been validated by Managed Reporting),
and the ReportCaster Console opens.
If you are in Developer Studio, access the WebFOCUS Environments component and then click the ReportCaster Console icon on the toolbar. The ReportCaster Logon screen is bypassed (since your user credentials have already been validated by Managed Reporting), and the ReportCaster Console opens.
